Find out how you can increase home energy efficiency and learn more about eco-friendly practices for free at the 10th Annual Lawrence Energy Conservation Fair tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 11. The event, hosted by the City of Lawrence Waste Reduction and Recycling Division, will showcase home energy efficiency resources in the area as well as offer seminars on topics such as energy efficiency financing and sustainable residential design. The energy conservation fair will be held at the the City of Lawrence Community Building, located at 115 W. 11th Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also, see practical applications of energy efficiency on the Lawrence Sustainable Homes Tour, part of the National Solar Tour, such as appliance upgrades and green remodeling projects. The tour departs at 10:30 a.m. from the community building, and the cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children under 14..
