| RESNET® News Update 45L Federal Tax Credit Update As part of the large tax and legislation, the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” the GOP-controlled U.S. House voted to eliminate the 45L federal tax credit for energy-efficient homes, effective December 31, 2025. The original expiration date of the credit was 2032. The legislation has now moved to the U.S. Senate.
